ClaimStar has different levels of service based on complexity of the claim and the claim situation.

Tier 1 services are for straightforward exterior claims, such as wind and hail.

Tier 2 services are for complex interior and exterior claims that require expert onsite evaluation and inspection by an insurance expert.

Tier 3 services are for contested claims that require settlement assistance.

Tier I: Remote exterior estimating.

The majority exterior damage claims, such as wind and hail claims, can be accurately estimated remotely by our team.

These fees are  based on the total Replacement Cost Value of the estimate provided by ClaimStar, LLC. These fees are not based on the outcome or current standing of any claim.  Fees will be charged regardless of the amount (if any) approved by the insurance company or profit gained by the contractor associated with the job.

What’s included in our fee:

➢ Full roof & exterior estimate
➢ All applicable code items included, and codes referenced
➢ Estimate written per manufacturer installation instructions & referenced
➢ Detailed notes explaining & justifying allowances
➢ Attached docs to support estimate where applicable. These could include such things as ITEL reports or specialty bid items provided by subcontractors.

Additional Fees:

➢ Roof diagrams and wall diagrams will be billed at cost if required.
➢ $50 or increase in fee bracket (whichever is greater) for Re-access fee to make changes to an estimate. (usually waived for current customers)

Tier 2: Onsite evaluation and inspection by an insurance expert. 

For complex situations it can be incredibly valuable to have an insurance estimate expert come onsite and inspect the loss. This hands on approach insures that you have the necessary documentation to support claims for high value line items or complex operations.

In addition to complex or high value wind and hail claims, other the types of claims that would be considered for Tier 2 include: interior claims, fire claims, water claims, or commercial claims.

Tier 2 Fees

 2% of total estimate written by ClaimStar, LLC     ($1,000 minimum)

The 2% fee is based on the total Replacement Cost Value of estimate provided by ClaimStar, LLC. This fee is not based on the outcome or current standing of any claim.  Fee will be charged regardless of the amount (if any) approved by the insurance company or profit gained by the contractor associated with the job. The minimum of $1,000 will be required prior to any work starting. Fee is non refundable. Once the estimate is completed by ClaimStar, LLC the fee of 2% will be calculated based on the above and any amount over the $1,000 minimum (if any) will be billed in addition.

Included in the fee:

➢ Full estimate of damages. (complex specialized trades may not be included. For example HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. will only be included at basic levels of scope or as a subcontractor bid item.)
➢Interior sketch of affected areas where applicable.
➢ All applicable code items included, and codes referenced.
➢ Estimate written per manufacturer installation instructions & referenced in estimate.
➢ Detailed notes explaining & justifying allowances where applicable.
➢ Attached docs to support estimate where applicable, some will need to be provided by contractor (ITEL for example)

Additional Fees:

➢ Actual cost incurred for roof & exterior diagrams unless accurate ESX files are provided.
➢ Actual cost incurred for ladder assist or other services needed to complete inspection

Tier 3: For contested claims requiring settlement assistance. 

Appraisals & Umpiring: 

➢$250 per hour with a $1,000 minimum (minimum required up front prior to any work starting). Costs above $1,000 will be billed after the appraisal award is signed by any two of the appraisers/umpire. Actual costs for ladder assist, roof or walls diagrams, or any other cost required to complete appraisal or umpire service will be billed in addition. 

➢ Public Adjuster representation – we will refer you to a public adjuster for the homeowner’s consideration.
